What Causes Leg Cramps?

Leg Cramps are not such a weird or strange condition as almost everyone would experience them at least once in a lifetime.

Leg cramps are also known as night cramps or sometimes “Charley Horse”. They are painful spasms that occur around the calf muscles. Muscle cramps can happen during the day or at night and may last for between a second and ten minutes. However, in most cases, the cramps occur at night or during sleep.

Anyone can suffer from leg cramps but older people are more prone to experiencing it than younger people. According to several research reports, people between the ages of 60 and 80 are much more likely to experience leg cramps than people who are younger.
